Traffic Advisory: Route 68 Construction Begins Monday

Motorists should expect delays on Route 68 as road improvement projects commence. Alternate routes are recommended.
Construction Details
- Complete resurfacing of 15 miles of roadway
- Bridge repairs at the Zancudo River crossing
- Installation of new guardrails
- Improved drainage systems
Timeline
- Phase 1 (Weeks 1-4): Eastbound lane closures
- Phase 2 (Weeks 5-8): Westbound lane closures
- Expected completion: 8 weeks
Alternate Routes
- Great Ocean Highway (add 15 minutes)
- Senora Freeway via Route 13 (add 10 minutes)
Work Hours
Construction will take place Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM. Nighttime work may occur periodically.
