About the Department
The San Andreas Fire & Rescue (SAFR) has proudly served the citizens of Los Santos and San Andreas since 1924. Our department operates 5 fire stations and a network of National Park Service fire lookouts strategically located throughout the region, staffed by over 200 dedicated firefighters and support personnel.
We respond to approximately 15,000 emergency calls annually, including structure fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, water rescues, and hazardous materials incidents.
Our mission is to protect life, property, and the environment through prevention, education, and emergency response.

Fire Prevention Bureau
The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for fire code enforcement, plan review, inspections, and fire investigation. Our certified fire inspectors work to ensure buildings meet safety codes and investigate the cause and origin of fires.
